‘Subrata to Caesar,’ solo show by Riyas Komu, presented jointly by The Guild Art Gallery and Gallery Maskara presents ‘an attempt to revisit the memories of one of the oldest sports in the country.’

It is also an attempt at introspection on what the FIFA World Cup brings to the millions of football fans in the country, even as the biggest football festival in the world begins. However, the presence of the country in the legacy of football is almost nil. The show is as much about art as it is about a game.

‘Subrata to Caesar’ will be on at Warehouse on 3^rd Pasta Lane, Colaba in Mumbai till July 12, 2010.
