‘If I Were A Saint’ at Shrine Empire

“If I Were A Saint,’ a group exhibition of ten artists curated by Johny ML and hosted by the Shrine Empire Gallery, New Delhi will opened at the Travancore Gallery in Kasturba Gandhi Marg, New Delhi on December 1, 2009. The show will continue at Travancore Gallery till December 5, after which it will move onto the Shrine Empire Gallery in 7, Friends Colony West. The show will go on there till December 23.

The participating artists are Gigi Scaria, K.M.Madhusudhanan, Manjunath Kamath, Murali Cheeroth, Vivek Vilasini, Prajakta Palav, Sandeep Pisalkar, Prasad Raghavan and Vidya Kamat.

“We have been working on this project last one year and it was quite interesting to notice that some of the participating artists changed their visual ideas initially done for this show. It happened mainly because each day the artists did their home work on the aspect of saintliness and each research took them to newer areas. Shrine Empire Gallery is proud to have this show by the end of this year,” says Anahita Taneja, one of the Directors of Shrine Empire Gallery.
